Belle Creek is a community with integrated housing types. Townhomes and apartments are mixed with single family housing. The community is known for its walk-ability and distinctive character. Starting in 2000, New Town Builders built 52 townhomes and 335 single family homes in the New Urbanist style. In 2001 Rocky Mountain Mutual Housing built 156 apartments and 6 retail units. In 2002 and 2003, the Belle Creek Family Center, the Belle Creek Charter School and the shared Gymnasium were built. In 2009, the residents started a Community Garden. Starting in 2010 and finishing up in early 2015, Oakwood Home has built 50 single family homes. Currently there are vacant lots available for the development of 144 apartments, 33 townhomes and 182 single family/multifamily homes

The Belle Creek Family Center operated by the YMCA is a central part of the Belle Creek community dedicated to improving the quality of life in Belle Creek. Our goal is to provide and promote quality activities and services that will contribute to the physical, mental, emotional and social well-being of the community. The facility houses a weight room, gymnasium as well as rooms that can be rented out for private rentals.

Residents in the Belle Creek subdivision can use the facility free of charge, but must present their ID card at the time of use. Individuals who don't live in Belle Creek may also use the facility, but are subject to our fee structure
